Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment and care plans tailored to patients' needs, perform therapeutic exercises and modalities, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and families on home exercise programs. The role requires proficiency in medical terminology, strong understanding of care plans, and knowledge of rehabilitation-related physiology. Candidates should have a passion for patient care and the ability to collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
- Utilize, heat, cold, water, light, and ultrasound massage.
- Instruct in the use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthopedic devices.
- A passion for providing exceptional patient care and support throughout the rehabilitation journey.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in home health settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of care plans and their implementation.
- Knowledge of physiology as it relates to patient care and rehabilitation.
