Job Summary
Weekend on-call Physical Therapist in Bridgeport, CT, covering on-call Fridays 4:30 pm through Mondays 8:00 am with weekend visits and admission visits. Responsibilities include developing and adjusting conditioning/rehabilitation plans, assessing patient strength, educating clients and family members on exercise programs, documenting observations and treatment progress, providing direct patient care, reviewing referrals and medical records for diagnosis and required therapy, recording prognosis and plans for reevaluation, evaluating treatment effects, and participating in educational activities and clinical studies. Licensing/registration in CT is required. Areas served include Greenwich, Stratford, New Haven, and surrounding areas; bilingual Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved Physical Therapy curriculum
- Current and valid Connecticut Physical Therapist license (required)
- Driver’s License, Car Insurance, Car Registration
- Strong clinical assessment, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation
- Be highly self-motivated and results-driven
- A desire for further education to keep up with the ever changing medical advances
