Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes or facilities. Administer diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments for disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing. Participate in developing and reviewing Plans of Treatment and Care, while observing, recording, and reporting patient condition changes to supervisors and physicians. Provide instruction to patients and families on alternative communication systems, maintain confidential documentation, and submit written evaluations, visit summaries, and care plans. Coordinate discharge planning and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- TB screening eligibility
