Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes or facilities. Assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing while administering diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments. Observe, record, and report changes in patient conditions to supervisors and physicians. Maintain and submit documentation, including evaluations, visit summaries, care plans, and progress reports. Participate in care coordination activities and discharge planning. Provide instruction to patients and families regarding alternative communication systems. Maintain confidentiality and share information only when legally required and in the patient's best interest. Pay per visit/unit rate of $54.00–$76.00.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Required to be screened for TB
