Job Summary
The Speech Therapist will deliver 1:1 home-based speech-language pathology services across Blaine, MN and surrounding areas, developing and implementing Plans of Care, conducting evaluations, providing therapy and guidance for communicative devices, and educating families while maintaining detailed records and collaborating with physicians, supervisors, and the care team. The role requires travel to clients’ homes, adherence to regulatory and company policies, confidentiality, and active participation in team and community resources. A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC-SLP, Minnesota licensure, and at least two years of healthcare experience are required, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to drive to client sites. The salary range is $90,000–$105,000 per year. Benefits include PTO, retirement, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement. The position reports to the Area Clinical Manager and involves ongoing documentation, care planning, and family education to support patient progress.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program with a Master’s degree or higher
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA and currently licensed to practice in Minnesota (license not revoked, suspended, or restricted)
- At least two (2) years experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent (home care experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal communication and teaching skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Access to dependable vehicle or reliable public transportation for multiple daily stops
- Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance for company travel
- Proof of negative mantoux test or documentation of negative chest x-ray
- Current CPR certification highly recommended
- U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit
- Discloses any relevant criminal history; candidate with crimes related to health services will not be hired
- Pass initial and ongoing background checks including state and federal screenings
