Job Summary
A Speech Language Pathologist administers speech therapy to patients in their place of residence on an intermittent basis under physician orders and plan of care, provides a full range of SLP services, participates in patient care planning with other home health personnel, conducts initial evaluations, develops and submits treatment plans and goals, writes progress notes, and communicates with physicians regarding changes in treatment; requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology and state licensure, knowledge of medical terminology, and reliable transportation. The role operates within a home health care setting with administrative oversight, and emphasizes documentation and coordination of patient progress.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology and is licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state where they furnish service
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Speech Therapist preferred. Home Health experience preferred
