Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes and facilities. Administer diagnostic tests and interpret results for disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing. Participate in treatment plan development, observe patient responses, and submit documentation including evaluations, visits, and progress reports. Provide instruction to patients and families on alternative communication systems and counsel healthcare staff. Maintain confidentiality and coordinate care activities and discharge planning. Requires ASHA certification, six months clinical experience, current license, and a valid driver's license. Full-time employment with 20 scheduled weekly hours at a pay rate of $54.00 to $76.00 per visit.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- TB screening
