Job Summary
Conduct home health visits to adult and geriatric clients in Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties. Develop and continuously revise treatment plans based on evaluations, physician orders, and goals while educating patients and families on rehabilitative care. Document observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using a touch pad tablet as an integral member of the multidisciplinary care team. Requires a current Maryland Speech Language Pathologist license and solid computer skills; offers per diem pay ranging from $66.00 to $70.00 per point.
Required Qualifications
- A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in MD
- Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association
- Have the equivalent educational requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and work experience necessary for such a certificate, and be awaiting the opportunity to take the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association examination for certification
- Have completed the necessary work and education requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and be in the process of accumulating the necessary supervised work experience required for certification
Desired Qualifications
- Prior home health experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, SLP
- Solid computer skills
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
