Job Summary
Registered Nurse (Home Health) to provide 1:1 client care in patients' homes, travel within Mendota Heights, Bloomington, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and nearby areas. Responsibilities include planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care per physician orders and policies, coordinating with Case Manager, performing medications and treatments, educating clients and families, maintaining clinical records, and participating in on-call rotations. Requires MN RN license, 2+ years in healthcare, strong communication and organizational skills, reliable vehicle and valid driver's license, and ability to work independently in diverse home environments. On-site nursing care in clients’ homes with travel between multiple stops, adherence to infection control policies, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as an R.N. in Minnesota
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a health care setting
- Demonstrates ability to make appropriate nursing judgments
- Possess good interpersonal communication and teaching skills
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proof of negative mantoux or documentation of negative chest x-ray
- Current CPR certification highly recommended
- Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation for travel to multiple sites
- Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance for personal vehicle use
- U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit
- Discloses any conviction and criminal history related to health services; a candidate with such convictions will not be hired
- Background checks including Minnesota Department of Health and Federal OIG Excluded List
