Job Summary
Deliver direct physical therapy interventions, treatments, and procedures in accordance with the physician's plan of care and physical therapist directions. Assess patients, communicate regularly with caregivers regarding the plan of care, and provide skilled teaching on prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive device usage. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient well-being, report observations of condition changes to supervisors and physicians, and prepare discharge instructions. Document clinical progress notes, reactions to treatments, and daily reports to ensure continuity of care and agency schedules. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and comply with professional standards while participating in in-service programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Physical Therapist Assistant education program from an accredited university/program
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- Valid CPR
