Job Summary
PTA to provide in-home physical therapy to hospice patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include administering treatments per the plan of care, implementing physician orders, monitoring patient responses, assisting with discharge planning, educating patients and caregivers on mobility and safety, documenting care in the EMR, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, and maintaining infection control, HIPAA compliance, and professional standards. Requires travel to patient residences, weekend call, and a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the State of Florida
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
