Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant

Provide in-home Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) services under the direction of a Physical Therapist (PT). Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, gait training, functional activities of daily living, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training; observe and report patient responses to treatment; educate patients and families on participation and rehabilitation; travel to patient homes for in-home visits based on the plan of care; maintain an in-home patient-centric approach and ensure quality care with supervision. Requires current PTA licensure in the relevant state, CPR/BLS/First Aid certification, valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and at least one year of professional PTA experience in a home health or similar setting.
