Job Summary
Assess, treat, and consult with patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part. Deliver personalized care guided by a physician's plan, including comprehensive physical assessments, patient testing, and home instruction for continued therapy. Supervise licensed physical therapy assistants and aides while managing a diverse caseload of adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Adapt to evolving healthcare systems and collaborate across disciplines to address unique developmental and psychosocial needs. Work weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun) with a base pay range of $50.56-$73.29.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Physical Therapy from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
- Master's degree Physical Therapy from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
- Doctorate degree Physical Therapy from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
- Current, unencumbered (State Employed) License as a Physical Therapist Required within 30 days of hire
- National Provider BLS
- American Heart Association (Vendor Managed)
- Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Competence in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior
- Understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial and chronological maturation process
- Understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient
- Adaptation to changes in healthcare delivery systems
- Promotion of strong interdisciplinary collaboration
- Staying up to date with evolving treatments, technologies, and patient needs
- Managing a diverse caseload with strong time management and organization
- Delivering compassionate care despite barriers such as cognitive limitations or language differences
- Competence in interpreting a patient's self-report or behavior
- Understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient
- Ability to effectively perform essential functions
- Routine use of standard medical equipment and tools associated with clinical care
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of Physical Therapy experience with adults in a home health care or rehabilitation setting
