Job Summary
Provide skilled, compassionate physical therapy to home health patients in Shepard, TX (PRN/part-time). Evaluate patients’ functional abilities in home settings, develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on restoring function, mobility, and pain relief, and deliver interventions such as exercise, gait training, manual therapy, and balance retraining. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies; monitor progress and adjust plans; document evaluations, treatments, and progress using digital platforms. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists; conduct home safety assessments and recommend fall-prevention measures. Requires active Texas PT license, a graduate degree or higher in Physical Therapy, professional liability coverage for the TX PT license, and a background in home health or rehabilitative care. Strong communication and adaptability skills are essential to empower patients toward greater independence.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license
- Professional liability insurance coverage specific to your Texas Physical Therapy license
- Graduate degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience in home health or rehabilitative settings is preferred
- Strong ability to adapt care approaches to suit a variety of patient personalities and needs
- Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor when educating and interacting with patients
