Job Summary
Direct supervision of patients and rehabilitation staff while delivering objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Provides general supervision of PT assistants and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians within State Practice Acts, performing duties consistent with Mercy standards and mission. Responsibilities include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education, post-surgical rehabilitation, pain management, and ROM/strengthening programs. Requires a PT education (BS, MS, or DPT) and active licensure, with preferred 6 months to 1 year experience in rehabilitation PT and comfort caring for adults/geriatrics. BLS certification and ability to meet physical requirements are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy
- Current/Temporary licensure as Physical Therapist in state of practice
- BLS certification - current before patient care independence
