Job Summary
Physical Therapist job at Optimal Care involves providing intermittent in-home physical therapy to patients in Wayne County, following physician orders and the plan of care under Home Health leadership. The role includes administering physical therapy, assessing and evaluating functional status, mobility, gait, ROM, and transfer capabilities; educating patients on equipment to increase independence; and ensuring documentation and communication with staff, patients, and caregivers. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, strong clinical and interpersonal skills, medical terminology knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities, and reliable transportation. Office location is Bingham Farms, MI with main service area Wayne County; typical hours 8AM–5PM, Monday–Friday. Pay range $93,000—$116,000 USD, with benefits and eligibility for paid time off and insurance.”}
Required Qualifications
- Possesses a degree of an accredited Master’s or doctoral program as a Physical Therapist.
- 1-year clinical experience as an Physical Therapist preferred
- Requires interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff, patients, and caregivers
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Able to demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities, documentation requirements and deadlines.
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently
- Ability to lift at least 35lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively

- Familiarity with Home Care Home Base (HCHB)
