Job Summary
Provide in-home physical therapy under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to patients in their homes in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities include performing therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility assistance, ROM, transfers, prosthetic training, adaptive equipment, and documenting patient progress. Attend regular team meetings and follow agency policies. Requires PTA program graduation and Virginia PTA license, driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to pursue ongoing education. Experience in home health preferred. Salary range $70,000–$90,000 annually. Job type per diem (per diem). Location: Alexandria, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program, accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent program
- Current and valid Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license (required)
- Driver's License
- Car Insurance and Car Registration
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive in all types of weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to follow agency policies and procedures and work as a team member
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
- Desire for further education to keep up with the ever-changing medical advances
