Job Summary
Administer the physical therapy treatment plan to patients in their homes, including non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and various modalities such as traction, heat, cold, water, and electrical treatments. Document client records and submit clinical documentation to the office weekly while applying infection control and universal precautions. Notify the Physical Therapist or Branch Director regarding equipment failures, supply shortages, or staff and client changes. Attend educational meetings and coordinate department in-services. This role is patient-facing and requires a valid state license, current CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with auto insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Current CPR certification
- Experience collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals
- Comprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes that occur in the geriatric population
- Read, write, and speak fluent English
- TB screening
- Maintain personal vehicle liability insurance in accordance with state minimum required limits or $25,000 bodily injury per person/$25,000 bodily injury per event /$10,000 for property damage or whichever is higher
