Job Summary
Evaluate patients and establish realistic goals for basic motor functions and reasoning abilities. Administer treatment programs prescribed by physicians while teaching activities of daily living and proper use of prosthetic or adaptive equipment. Instruct health care team members in maintaining therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities. Provide appropriate documentation of services, participate in team meetings and case conferences, and monitor occupational therapist assistants. Accept only assignments for which qualified and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA and State Regulatory Accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in the State of Florida
- CPR certification
- OSHA Certificate
- HIV/AIDS Certificate
- HIPAA Certificate
- Alzheimer's Certificate
- Medical Errors Certificate
- Domestic Violence Certificate
- Minimum 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Current registration and insurance for the driver's license
- Driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
- Proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 limits
- Accepts only those assignments for which qualified
