Job Summary
The Home Health Occupational Therapist administers occupational therapy to patients, evaluating their functional status, home environments, and developing personalized treatment plans. Candidates must have an accredited occupational therapy degree, clinical experience, and effective communication skills. Required Qualifications
- A graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- 1+ years clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Requires interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff, patients, and caregivers
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Able to demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities, documentation requirements and deadlines
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
- Ability to lift at least 35lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Home Health experience preferred
- Familiarity with Home Care Home Base (HCHB)
