Job Summary
Conduct home visits to adult and geriatric patients in Cecil County, Maryland, performing thorough evaluations of functional status, muscle function, and cognitive aspects to develop individualized intervention plans. Assess home environments for hazards and identify equipment needs to enhance client independence. Continually revise care plans with nursing staff, educate patients and families on rehabilitative activities, and accurately document observations using a touch pad tablet. Requires a current MD Occupational Therapist license, one year of recent OT experience, and proficiency with electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- A current MD Occupational Therapist license
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Problem solving skills
- Solid computer skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
