Job Summary
Execute physician prescribed plans of care, including administering medication, treatments, and therapies. Conduct patient assessments, monitor vitals, GI intake and output, skin integrity, and wound care. Perform daily living activities and provide education to patients, families, and Home Health Aides. Collaborate with CNAs, case managers, and physicians to coordinate care and communicate patient status. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and attendants while performing other personal care services as needed. This 1099 contract role in Abiquiu, NM supports patients with 24-hour nursing needs via 12-hour or 6-hour shifts. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current CPR certification
- TB test and physical examination
- Maintain required insurance
- Good interpersonal skills
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
- Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions
- Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient's home
- Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end of life care
- Offers are contingent upon passing a background check
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as an RN/LPN in a clinical or home health setting
- Ability to assist with two person assist
