Job Summary
Home Health LPTA Full Time in Dayton, OH – performs Physical Therapist Assistant duties under supervision of a physical therapist, applying therapeutic exercise, mechanical traction, therapeutic massage, compression, heat, cold, ultraviolet light, and electricity; measures and fits walkers, canes, crutches, and wheelchair and provides instructions on their use; instructs in transfers, activities of daily living, gait, pulmonary function, and use and care of orthosis, prosthesis, and supportive devices; performs measurements for range of motion, gross muscle strength, length and girth, and vital signs; modifies treatment per plan of care, communicates status to PT and staff; adheres to infection control and facility policies; maintains adaptive aids inventory; attends trainings and staff meetings; benefits include competitive wages, holidays, medical/dental, 403(b), tuition reimbursement, referral bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Ohio Physical Therapist Assistant License Required
- Valid drivers’ license and a safe driving record
- At least one year experience, preferably in a home health care setting
