Job Summary
In-home care role for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Mankato, MN. Provides personal cares (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting), basic procedures under RN supervision, reminders and assistance with physician-ordered medications, and support for therapy-related activities including range-of-motion exercises and home exercise programs. Performs household tasks essential to health care (meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping) and documents care and observations. Maintains client safety, confidentiality, and effective communication with the interdisciplinary team. Requires CNA certification, at least six months health-care facility experience, 18+ years old, valid driver’s license or access to transportation, and the ability to pass background checks and infection-control standards. Schedule includes morning and evening windows with a focus on clients in the Mankato area; benefits available for full-time eligibility and opportunities for paid time off and insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or successful completion of formal CNA training and competency evaluation
- Be at least 18 years of age (or 16-17 with related school-based program or certified HHA competency evaluation)
- At least six months experience in a health care facility
- Ability to read, write and follow directions
- Maturity to handle job demands and ability to work with little supervision
- Demonstrated dependability, tact and ability to follow orders
- Proof of negative Mantoux or chest x-ray
- Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation to travel to multiple job sites
- Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance when using a personal vehicle for company business
- U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit
- Pass initial and ongoing background checks including MDH and OIG screening
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality; respect for clients and families
- Capability to perform under infection control policies (handwashing, etc.)
