Job Summary
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the occupational therapist and provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily living activities, fine motor skills, coordination, and cognitive functioning. Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and the use of assistive equipment to promote independent living. Monitor and document patients' progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist, while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with families to ensure a supportive therapeutic environment. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling where you can freely choose coverage areas.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Strong clinical and observational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using technology and electronic documentation systems
