Job Summary
Conduct objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for patients of all age ranges under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Assist with initial assessments, administer appropriate modalities and exercise regimes, and document the course of patient care including progress notes and continuing treatment needs. Maintain departmental records on each patient and participate in promoting education within the department while demonstrating knowledge of special needs across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Perform miscellaneous job duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor. This role requires a current COTA license or eligibility, one year of experience preferred, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupation Therapist Assistant program
- Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice
- BLS certified
- Certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently
