Job Summary
Conduct skilled procedures as ordered by the physician and according to the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist. Instruct patients and family members in home programs and fine motor movement exercises to improve or minimize residual physical disabilities. Participate in patient care planning, QAPI activities, and all patient care conferences as scheduled. Prepare medical records and update care plans for each visit, while maintaining communication with physicians, the Occupational Therapist, and family members. Requires current Pennsylvania certification and licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant with two years of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A person who is a graduate and meets the requirements for certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTO).
- Currently certified to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the State Board of Occupational Therapy.
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience preferred.
