Job Summary
Administer the occupational therapy treatment plan and assess patients for range of motion, strength, coordination, and adaptive equipment needs under OTR supervision. Facilitate therapeutic interventions addressing functional mobility, safety issues, and ADL performance while applying infection control and universal precautions. Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence, communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners, and participate in the Agency's QAPI program and in-service training. Meet continuing education requirements and promote the Agency's philosophy to ensure high-quality care for our aging clients in South Austin.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Texas State License to practice occupational therapy
- Minimum of one year experience as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Minimum of one year of home health care experience
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with the elderly
- Strong clinical and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of home health experience
- Knowledge of Homecare Homebase software
- Knowledge or experience utilizing Homecare Homebase EMR
