Job Summary
Provide and/or assist with activities of daily living including dressing, ambulating, transferring, toileting, bathing, hair and nail care, and oral hygiene according to the client's written plan of care. Deliver basic therapeutic care such as measuring weight and vital signs, applying hot and cold treatments, managing non-sterile dressings, performing range of motion exercises, and assisting with medications. Prepare meals and handle household duties assigned by the client to facilitate self-care while encouraging participation. Observe and report changes in client condition or unsafe conditions immediately to the nurse or supervisor. Work Monday through Friday as a self-starter in the Home Health department.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
- state-required minimum automobile insurance coverage
- successful completion of the 75-hour Nursing Assistant training course
- active certification on the Nebraska Registry
- BLS certified
- at least 19 years old
