Job Summary
Certified Home Health Aide provides personal care, companionship, and homemaking for clients in home settings under supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility), providing companionship and emotional support, light housekeeping, meal planning and grocery shopping, assisting with transfers and prescribed exercises, promoting independence while maintaining client dignity, and reporting changes to supervising nurse. Training and ongoing CEUs are provided; opportunities for advancement. Requires NJ CHHA certification; HS diploma preferred; CPR preferred; must have reliable transportation; flexible scheduling with full-time, part-time, and per-diem options; weekly pay; various health benefits and training support.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey CHHA Certification (required)
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to drive to client homes (some may not be wheelchair accessible)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Dependable, compassionate, excellent communication skills
