Job Summary
The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) delivers personal care, companionship, and homemaking services to clients in their homes under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility), providing companionship, light housekeeping, meal planning/preparation, grocery shopping, assisting with transfers/ambulation, supporting client independence with dignity, monitoring changes in condition and reporting to the supervising nurse, and participating in ongoing training/CEUs. The role requires active CHHA certification in New Jersey, and involves driving to client homes across South Jersey with a flexible schedule (full-time, part-time, and per-diem options) and potential benefits such as weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and health/dental/vision insurance and retirement plans.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey CHHA Certification (required)
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Must be dependable, compassionate, and have excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation required
