Job Summary
Provide exceptional personal care and companionship to clients in their homes while conducting visits to evaluate needs and strengthen relationships. Maintain flexible availability to assist with open shifts, last-minute assignments, and emergency staffing needs, including on-call situations and travel to multiple locations. Mentor, orient, and train new caregivers, providing coaching to promote best practices and agency standards. Assist in developing individualized care plans and communicate effectively with office staff regarding client condition changes and scheduling needs. Maintain accurate documentation and represent the agency professionally while building trust with clients and families.
Required Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving experience
- Knowledge of personal care, dementia care, fall prevention, and safe patient handling
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible schedule with the ability to accept open and urgent assignments
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel throughout the service area
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and adapt quickly to changing situations
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and caregivers
- Level II background screening (or ability to successfully complete one)
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership or mentoring experience
- Current CPR certification
