Job Summary
Administer personal care and assist with housekeeping activities of daily living for patients in the home setting. Report observations of physical and psychosocial status to the Registered Nurse, Therapist, or Clinical Supervisor. Follow treatment plans to provide care including bathing, grooming, skin care, and assistance with ambulation, dressing, and elimination. Support prescribed exercise and transfers under RN supervision. Maintain agency equipment and promptly request repairs. Observe patients for significant changes in condition and notify the nurse in charge immediately. Hold a Home Health Aide license (CA) or CNA license (OR), valid driver's license, and Basic Life Support certification. Work per diem across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. Adventist Health requires all associates to receive annual vaccinations and participates in E-Verify.
Required Qualifications
- Home Health Aide (HHA) license
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- At least 21 years of age or older
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Experience with home health or community background
- CNA license in CA and HI
