Job Summary
Provide in-home patient care as a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) under an established plan of care. Responsibilities include completing activities in the care plan, assisting with personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands; maintain effective communication with patients and supervisory staff; document care accurately on activity sheets; comply with HIPAA, departmental and system protocols. Requires compassionate, patient-focused service, English literacy, a valid NYS Driver's License, and HHA certification or CNA with documented competency steps. Full-time day and evening shifts available in Newark, NY, 14513; base pay ranges from $18.65 to $20.00 per hour, with a corresponding annualized range of approximately $38,792 to $41,600 depending on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- HHA - Home Health Aide certification (NYSED) or equivalent (CNA with HHA written test and 1-day competency class within 4 days of hire)
- NYS Driver's License
- Proven home health aide or nurse aide training and competency evaluation (out-of-state acceptable)
- Possession or eligibility for HHA certification with required competency within 4 days of hire
