Job Summary
Home Health Aide responsibilities include helping clients take prescribed medication, assisting with ambulation/mobility, personal care and hygiene, routine exercises, meal planning/preparation with client input, shopping or accompanying clients, light housekeeping, providing a pleasant and supportive presence, reporting unusual incidents, and acting quickly in emergencies. Must demonstrate compassion and strong communication/interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and adhere to health and safety standards. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care are offered, along with mileage reimbursement and bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Own a vehicle with current insurance
- Social Security Card
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
