Job Summary
Provide personal care assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation for elderly clients, those with disabilities, and individuals with chronic conditions. Offer companionship and emotional support while assisting with light housekeeping, errands, and mobility transfers. Observe clients for health changes, report concerns to the Home Care Coordinator, and maintain accurate documentation of all care activities. Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement personalized care plans and adhere to infection control protocols. This full-time direct placement role in Noblesville, IN, requires HHA or PCA certification, CPR/First Aid training, and the ability to lift and transfer clients.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift, move, and position clients as needed
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical endurance, including standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to drive or use public transportation to travel to client homes if required
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Completion of a state-approved training program
- Previous experience in home care, hospice, or a similar setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and transferring clients
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing daily care tasks and reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
