Job Summary
The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) provides personal care, companionship, and homemaking services that support the client’s comfort and health at home under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility), providing companionship and emotional support, light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, safety), meal planning and grocery shopping, assisting with ambulation/transfers/exercises, supporting independence while maintaining client dignity, monitoring/reporting changes to the supervising nurse, and attending company-provided ongoing training/CEUs. Requires active NJ CHHA certification. CPR certification preferred. Strong communication, reliability, and transportation to client homes throughout South Jersey are required.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey CHHA Certification (required)
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Must be dependable, compassionate, and have excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation required
