Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to clients in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist. Utilize safety measures during care delivery and maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding client conditions. Document and submit accurate accounts of services provided while observing clients for changes in condition or behavior. Recognize emergencies and demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures, adhering to all agency policies and state regulations. Maintain confidentiality of all client, agency, and employee matters. Complete background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Required Qualifications
- HHA certification or CNA license
- CPR or BLS certification
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
- Successful completion of at least 75 hours of classroom and practical training with 16 hours of supervised practical training
- A satisfactory level of competency evidenced by evaluation
- Adequate health status to perform described duties
- The ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff
- Background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
