Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to clients in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist. Utilize safety measures in care provision, maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding client conditions, and document accurate accounts of services provided. Observe clients for changes in condition and behavior, report findings, maintain confidentiality, recognize emergencies, and adhere to state regulations and agency policies. Do not perform restricted tasks such as administering medication or changing sterile dressings. Complete background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Flexible scheduling available.
Required Qualifications
- HHA certification or CNA license
- CPR or BLS certification
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
- Successful completion of at least 75 hours of classroom and practical training with 16 hours of supervised practical training
- A satisfactory level of competency evidenced by evaluation
- Adequate health status to perform described duties
- The ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff
- Background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
