Job Summary
Provide personalized care support to private homes within the Clinton Twp, Wayne County, and surrounding areas, assisting residents with daily living functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. Administer medications per protocol, monitor vital signs, and document changes in physical or mental condition immediately. Handle incontinence care, assist with light meal preparation, housekeeping, and pet care while maintaining client dignity and following infection control procedures. Transport clients to appointments and participate in activity programming as assigned. Complete daily charting using authorized abbreviations and report abnormal signs to the Care Coordinator. Drive up to an hour (45-50 miles) and accept schedule changes or emergency assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- Proof of Insurance
- Training per state requirements
- Desire to work with geriatric population
- Comfortable driving up to an hour (45-50 miles)
- Ability to review detailed documents
- Ability to read electronic device screens
- Accepts changes/additions to schedule during staffing difficulties when necessary
- Accepts assignment in time of emergency, regardless of any location and/or any day of the week be it weekend/holidays
- Travel to different locations required
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous Healthcare experience
- Geriatrics experience
- Experience working with the elderly population
