Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility. Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance. Respond promptly to resident needs and observe for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral conditions, reporting unusual symptoms or accidents to a licensed nurse. Complete documentation such as incident reports and behavior tracking, and prepare meals while assisting with eating. Make beds, empty garbage, and tidy rooms daily. This role requires a current CNA license, Virginia Home Health Aide license, and CPR certificate. Schedule is PRN.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA license in good standing
- Virginia Home Health Aide license
- CPR Certificate
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting
