Job Summary
The home health aide provides personal care services as part of the home care team under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist. Key responsibilities include assisting patients with personal care and hygiene, transferring and ambulating patients, preparing meals, and offering companionship. The role requires empathy, CPR certification, and the ability to follow instructions. This position offers both full-time and part-time options with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order
