Job Summary
Provide clients with personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal assistance. Deliver companion and household management duties such as vacuuming, laundry, and changing bed linens. Assist clients with self-administered medications. Maintain a clear registry status and pass competency and ethics exams. Hold at least six months of home care experience and possess a valid driver's license. Shifts are available throughout the metro area with flexible scheduling options.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
- Successful completion of a state-approved Personal Care Aide or Home Care Aide course
- At least six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
- Listed with a 'clear' report on the California Home Care Aide Registry
- Achieves a minimum score of 80% on competency exam (Home Health Aide Test)
- Meets passing criteria on DEARS Ethics test
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
