Job Summary
Provide personal care and support to clients by assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, transfers, toileting, and meal preparation. Maintain client homes by keeping them safe, clean, and comfortable while offering companionship and emotional support. Document visit notes accurately and report observed changes in client conditions to the supervising nurse. Follow safety procedures, maintain confidentiality, and work independently under RN supervision. This role focuses strictly on personal care and does not include skilled nursing tasks such as medication administration or wound care.
Required Qualifications
- Meets all agency and state employment requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- HHA certification preferred (CNA welcome where applicable).
- Reliable, caring, and patient.
- Able to work independently while following a care plan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically able to assist clients with daily activities.
