Job Summary
Deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne van to customers' doorsteps in York and surrounding areas, ensuring on-time deliveries and roadworthy vehicle condition; perform checks to ensure van cleanliness and security of delivery cases; assist customers with questions and substitutions while staying informed about products, services, and promotions; support store tasks when not delivering; thrive in a fast-paced, physical environment, using initiative to solve problems and working as part of a team; comfortable using new digital tools and maintaining a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient driving a large vehicle in different locations
- Comfortable in learning to use new digital tools and technology
- Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment
- Customer-focused with ability to handle substitutions and delays
- Willingness to learn about products, services and promotions
- Ability to work flexibly across store duties
- Moving shopping containers up to 15KG
- Adherence to safety and road laws with safe driving practices
