Job Summary
Deliver and unload Thermo-Tech’s windows and doors to customers in a tractor trailer; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the vehicle, and maintain required paperwork while adhering to DOT regulations. Engage with customers professionally at dealers, distribution centers, and job sites, review load sheets and packing slips, verify quantities, and ensure secure handoff with customer signatures. Maintain safety standards, rotate responsibilities as needed, and travel 90% to 10% production with a Day Shift for a Full-time role. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, DOT medical certification eligibility, and 2+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience (winter driving preferred); strong customer service, safety awareness, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a D.O.T. Medical Certificate
- 2 years of previous tractor trailer driving experience (including winter driving)
- Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time
- Must be able to travel frequently
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to load and unload items, with and without dollies, in various types of weather
- Customer relations skills
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
