Job Summary
Provide home help and personal care to aged care clients in Croydon and surrounding areas, including housekeeping (beds, cleaning, laundry), meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, assistance with mobility and medication administration, and transport to activities or appointments. Role involves supporting clients to maintain independence, building positive relationships with clients and families, and delivering complex care for clients with high care needs such as dementia. Requires 3+ months of similar professional experience, valid driver’s licence with own insured vehicle, and ability to work independently with occasional travel; includes paid CPR/First Aid courses, career development opportunities, and statutory/background checks prior to commencement.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months experience in a similar professional role
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence & own insured vehicle
- Experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
- Reliable driver and vehicle for client transport
- Completion of Statutory Declaration, National Police check, Working Rights check and pre-employment functional assessment
