Job Summary
Conduct speech-language pathology and dysphasia services in the home, including evaluations, oral motor exercises, and aural rehab. Establish and modify treatment plans with patients, families, and physicians while providing patient and caregiver education. Coordinate specialized assessments requiring external referrals, arrange durable medical equipment, and supervise home health aides. Maintain medical records for reimbursement and communicate regularly with supervisors and the multidisciplinary care team regarding patient status and service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited educational program in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Board of OT
- 1-2 years clinical experience
- Registered License to practice Occupational Therapy in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia or any combination based on work location(s)
- CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation)
- Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation
