Job Summary
Conduct speech-language pathology and dysphasia services in the home, including evaluations, oral motor exercises, and aural rehab. Establish and modify treatment plans with patients, families, and physicians while providing durable medical equipment assessments and adaptive equipment recommendations. Coordinate specialized assessments requiring referral and arrange post-discharge community resources. Supervise home health aides on patient care activities and communicate with supervisors and multidisciplinary teams regarding service delivery. Maintain medical records for reimbursement compliance and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited educational program in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Board of OT
- 1-2 years clinical experience
- Registered License to practice Occupational Therapy in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia or any combination based on work location(s)
- CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation)
- Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation
