Job Summary
Provide age-specific patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and health-team members. Responsibilities include conducting patient interviews and assessments across gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological domains; documenting and communicating patient status and care plans; coordinating care activities, discharge planning, and referrals; administering medications and treatments safely; maintaining accurate documentation; guiding and delegating tasks within the care team; ensuring patient safety and comfort; and contributing to quality improvement efforts. Requires NY RN license; BSN enrollment within 2 years and BSN degree within 5 years is preferred. Driver’s license may be required depending on assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date
- Valid Driver's License in New York State may be required depending on area of assignment
- Specialized certifications as needed
